About
Football has been played in Boxford from at least 1919. The original ground was Rectory Park, this was up past the church where houses have now been built. Rectory Park was used until the current ground Homefields was bought by the village in the late sixties from Ipswich Brewers Tolly Cobbold for £160.
A Boxford Youth football team was playing there from 1974 before Boxford Rovers Youth FC came into existence in 1977.
The current teams range from Minis starting as young as five, through the age groups to U18's. We have a strong ethos that no child will ever be turned away from the club based on squad numbers. We firmly believe that playing football is greatly beneficial to children and gives them confidence and self belief in an encouraging environment.
